Brothers in Arms Preview

There is a new Brothers in Arms preview on GameSpy, offering impressions of the game based on checking it out at the Gearbox offices. The World War 2 action game is scheduled for an early 2005 release.

What engine is this game based on? It looks similar to Source (especially with the realisitic expressions on the soldiers' faces) but I haven't seen it mentioned it anywhere? Is it a Gearbox in-house one or licensed?
