1.2GHz Athlons

Crazy hardware article of the day I spotted on AcesHardware. It's not quite that 90GHz stuff from yesterday but it looks like the AMD fabs are already yielding 1GHz and even 1.2GHz 0.18 micron Athlon chips! Dig it:

The good news: a good percentage of .18 micron Athlon's (Al) are yielding 1 GHz. A decent amount of Copper Athlons (better take a seat) are already hitting 1.2 GHz!! Again, Yields are way better than expected. The Thunderbird seems to be ahead of schedule too (no details right now).

    After that 90Ghz article, how could I settle for a measly 1.2Ghz?
