Late Night Consoling
Tomonobu Itagaki is definitely a rising star in video gaming fandom as almost everyone is captivated with his off-the-cuff comments and, dare I say, almost arrogant attitude. He has been very controversial lately with his remarks on both the Japanese games industry and media and was also one of the initial public, albeit secluded, supporters of Microsoft's Xbox. The interview conducted by Game Informer is quite personal, giving us insight on how he started with game development, his past projects, thoughts on the new portables, and what he has for us in the future. Go ahead and learn more about this major player.
Arc The Lad Generations Goes Online Japanese retailers are reporting that Arc The Lad Generations is in fact the previously announced Arc The Lad Online, a purely online adventure. Not much has been revealed, but what is know is that game will support up to eight players in cooperative play and four vs. four in competitive play. More details should be released as we get closer to the November 4th Japanese release.
Auto-Update Released for RalliSport Challenge 2 A mandatory update for RalliSport Challenge 2 has been released today by DICE and Microsoft Game Studios. Xbox Live Director of Programming, Larry Hyrb, said the update "helps level the playing field with Rallisport Challenge 2 as some gamers have found a way to gain an unfair competitive advantage during online play." Along with the update, the leaderboards have been reset.

Bad Boys Game Returning Home Crave Entertainment revealed plans today to bring the UK developed and released game, Bad Boys: Miami Takedown, to the United States. The game, based on the Will Smith/Martin Lawrence cop flick, was released in Europe earlier this year to mediocre reviews but will sport a reduced price of $29.99 when it hits US shelves.
NCAA Football Sales Up 50% Electronic Arts announced today that first week sales of NCAA Football 2005 has jumped up over 50% compared to last year. While it is said that the new home field advantage feature could have been a big selling point, I would believe the inclusion of Xbox Live is the real force behind this massive sales surge. EA expects this trend to continue with Madden NFL 2005 as pre-orders have already doubled in amount in comparison to 2004.
