I hate to complain, but so far the game manages to look considerably worse than the original. The levels shown are barren and boring. It looks almost like they started working on the project 2 weeks ago and are already pumping out screenshots just to satisfy the masses. The following quote explains it as this: "The team quickly built out three of these rough levels for E3." If they are using the same engine and have added very few new gameplay elements so far and are lacking any sort of complete levels to show off, why are they already pumping out preview after preview? If this wasn't KOTOR done by devs that had previously worked on Planescape: Torment, I'd almost say this looks like complete crap and a pathetic attempt at cashing in on the original. Let's hope things improve over the next year.

well. the whole preview thing is to keep people interest in the game. you don't want people going "oh, thats out?" when its released you want people who'd sell their grandmother to play it ;)

as far as levels, arn't they just talking about their e-3 experience? how they started with basic levels to show off, and improved them for the retail game.

oh, and i'm preordering this game

Im with you, being a PC gamer I certianly dont expect any break thrus on the the graphic and animation fronts, since the game is based on limited hardware.
I enjoyed the original and it was really the best SW game to date over all, imo.
I'll buy this thou im hoping to at least get a good story line and decent gameplay , since there wont be great graphics to look forward too.
Im not sure about sound and such are console cappable of 5.1/6.1 sound or they restricted on sound as well ?
