Late Night Consoling
An exciting week to be a gamer. Full Spectrum Warrior and The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay have been garnering rave reviews from all gaming sites, offering gamers on both ends of the spectrum an option; high-octane action shooter or strategic combat simulation. Tomorrow, we will see the release of eight classic NES games for the GBA. Now while it is a rip-off at $20 a game, for those who missed out on the original Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda now have no excuse to not experience these timeless classics. In a time where GBA games are now costing $40 a pop, $20 for Super Mario Bros., a game most of us haven't played in a decade, doesn't sound too bad.

Nintendo Making Their Own EyeToy? The fine folks at Computer and Video Games did a little sleuthing today and uncovered what could quite possibly be a camera add-on for one of Nintendo's systems. While going through some trademarks, they stumbled upon the name "Manebito/Camera." Translated, Manebito means 'imitator.' To reinforce the notion, a couple images were included, such as this one, that shows a camera-like device and a person's face imposed on a stick figure. This could all result in nothing, but it's still interesting nonetheless.
Guardian Heroes to Land on the GBA 1up took a peak at the latest issue of Famitsu Weekly and discovered that Treasure is working on a follow-up to their Saturn title Guardian Heroes for the GameBoy Advance. Dubbed Advaned Guardian Heroes, the game will be a sequel and hit Japanese shores late September. Not much else is known at this point, but since the original allowed for six players, it may be likely we'll see multiplayer link support.
