EA To Support DS, PSP During its financial results conference call yesterday, EA reiterated its plans to support the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP. EA CEO Larry Probst mentioned that he expects the PSP to be as big as the Game Boy at some point in the future, and that his company will launch four to six PSP games during its 2005 fiscal year. As EA's fiscal year ends March 31, this means we'll see those games during the first three months of the year. | |
OutRun 2 Speeds To Xbox Sega Europe today confirmed that an Xbox version of OutRun 2 is in development. In addition to the features of the Sega-AM2 arcade original, the Xbox version will support Live online play, a new single-player mission mode and unlockable content. No release date was announced. | |
Crash 'n Burn Details, Trailer It looks like I totally forgot to mention the announcement of this game last week but here's a story to make up for it as there are more details on Crash 'n Burn, a new racing game from Eidos. Up to 16 players can race through the streets of Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York and while winning is your first priority you're encouraged to run your opponents off the road, totally destroying their cars. Samurai Warriors Xbox Bound Omega Force's tactical action game Samurai Warriors will be released on the Xbox, Koei has announced. It will feature the same content as the PlayStation 2 version which ships next week, but Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound support will be added and there will be more units on screen thanks to the extra processing power. The Xbox version will be released some time this summer. | |
Guilty Gear X2 Xbox Heads Stateside Majeso announced that it plans to release the Xbox version of Guilty Gear X2 #Reload in North America this summer. The game will feature Xbox Live support for head-to-head play and real-time rankings, and at $19.95 it won't quite break the bank. | |
Sega's E3 Announcement Announcement Sega has invited the gaming press to an event on the first day of E3, saying only that their major announcement will be "BIG news you'd NEVER guess". Of course everyone is buzzing about the possibility of Dreamcast 2. It seems unlikely but who knows. Any thoughts by you guys? We'll know what it is in thirteen days. | |
