Sunday Afternoon ShackReviews

Gather 'round children, for it's time for an update to the ShackReviews database. This week we've got six new games, including the long-awaited PC debut of Halo and an RPG/RTS that has an unhealthy fascination with cows. As usual, if there's a game you want to review but don't see in the database, check first and then submit it! (And don't blame me if a game you never submitted isn't added!)

My game playing this past week was mostly devoted to the super-cool (if somewhat limited in interaction) Snatcher for SegaCD, but later in the week my copy of Ikaruga arrived and I've been training myself in that ever since. I have a huge stack of unplayed games here, but I'm still very tempted to run out and get the Age of Mythology expansion, as I liked the original quite a bit. I was a little disappointed by the WarCraft III add-on (it was solid, but really dragged on there towards the end) so I hope I fare better with this one. As we're rapidly approaching the holiday season, there are some big titles on the horizon for the coming weeks, including Viewtiful Joe (next week), XIII, UFO: Aftermath and Max Payne 2 (two weeks), and the ultra-cool Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (first week in November). And of course, one of these days we'll finally have some idea when Half-Life 2 is coming out (which is good, because that 9600XT is looking really attractive to me right now).
