Silent Storm Demo

I forgot to post about this on the frontpage when it came out, but it's a good update to get some Saturday afternoon gaming going. Nival Interactive (Blitzkrieg, Etherlords) recently released the English Silent Storm demo, allowing you to sample two levels from the game "combining turn-based tactical combats and role-playing set against the background of the WWII". For more info, I turn your attention to this post by Poor Yurik.

What they created isn't just a one up on the Jagged Alliance franchise. They have created, by all indication from my experience with the demo and my subsequent readings of the official Silent Storm website and forums, a masterpiece in the turn-based strategy genre. From all accounts, Jagged Alliance 3 is dead and will more than likely never see the light of day. Now, one of the best features of JA2 was the memorable banter from all your mercs and some of the characters in JA2 took a real life of their own. Characters like Ivan, Shadow, and Gus are what made that game all the more compelling. Well, fans of JA will be pleased to hear the the SAME EXACT WRITER is the guy behind Silent Storm. Ok, past the history lesson, I really haven't explained what makes this game so awesome. I'll give a quick run down then i'll link to the game's homepage so you guys can peruse the full feature list. ...
