Jason is off doing things that don't involve a computer, so here I am again filling in for LNC. Today was all about the release of Madden NFL 2004, and according to GameSpot and IGN, the new version is a winner. Be sure to share your thoughts if you got your hands on the game already.

PS2 Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm Announced
Ubi Soft today announced that Tom Clancy game fans can look forward to Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm, a new Playstation 2 only shooter due to ship later this year. Though the game features a singleplayer campaign, Jungle Storm seems to be all about the multiplayer experience with 31 multiplayer maps, 10 multiplayer modes, voice communication and an online ladder ranking system among other features.

3DO IP Bidding
It's doubtful many people will be sad about 3DO's demise, but several companies out there are still interested in several of the company's properties. Namco, Eidos, Turbine Entertainment, JoWood, Crave, Ubi Soft and Microsoft are all getting ready to place bids on such properties like Street Racing Syndicate, Army Men, Heroes of Might and Magic and High Heat Baseball.
GameCube Dead Phoenix...Dead
It was rumored before, and though there still isn't official word from Capcom on this (besides the removal of the game from its Japanese release schedule), The Magic Box and Computer & Video Games are both reporting that Dead Phoenix has indeed been cancelled.
Xbox Sudeki Delayed
GamePro is reporting that the Xbox RPG Sudeki has been delayed until 2004. Microsoft cites a need to "focus on polishing the game and ensuring an even greater experience for gamers".

Galleon News
Looks like Confounding Factor's Galleon isn't quite dead despite no news since March, as GameSpot notes that the official website for this third person action adventure game has recently been updated. The update consists of info on the game's story and combat system. Galleon should still be out later this year.

Buffy Golden
The peeps at Vivendi Universal let us know that Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds has gone gold, and will be in stores August 26. Chaos Bleeds is a third-person fighting adventure game, developed as a "'lost episode' from season five of the television show". The official site will launch tomorrow at www.buffygame.com.

Locally we have screenshots from Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm. IGN has screenshots from Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3: Rebel Strike (GameCube), Bombastic (PS2), Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg (GameCube), and impressions of Midway Arcade Treasures (PS2) and Resident Evil Code Veronica (GameCube). Computer & Video Games has screenshots and impressions of F-Zero GX (GameCube). And over at GameSpot they have screenshots of Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance as well as Urban Freestyle Soccer.
