According to a forum post by Mark Rein on the Atari forums, a free Unreal 2 addon is being worked on by the people at Legend. Thanks Blues News.

  unfortunately it doesnt quite work like that
  the last free high profile game that we got was Enemy Territory, and that was generally well received, very good in my book
