IBM's MRAM

10

CNN's Technology section is reporting about a new memory type that IBM and Infineon Technologies AG have been working on called MRAM (magnetic random access memory technology). This new RAM, which could replace most of the previous types of RAM, should also be able to give us instant booting computers which would be pretty neat.

Wow. With this technology, I might even turn my computer on and off, rather than leaving it on all day.

But does this mean that DIMMS will be sensitive to magnetic fields now?
