Xbox Live Pricing Ever since Xbox Live went on sale last November, people have been wondering what they would be paying after the first year was up. Today Microsoft has announced their pricing plan, and you can find details on IGN. Basically the service will cost you $49.99 for a year, or $5.99 if you want to pay a monthly fee instead. The Starter Kit price will go up, from $49.99 currently to $69.99 this fall. Microsoft will also make the voice headset available as a stand-alone item though, so you will be able to buy a $29.99 headset and then pay $5.99 for the first month to see if you like the Live service. IGN's story also has an interview with Microsoft's Andre Vrignaud, who is the "Director of Technical Strategy for Xbox Live", about all of this. | |
