As I'm sure very few of you have ever noticed, these here LNC posts are not compatible with our WAPShack feed for those reading the Shack on their cell phones. Since I've actually kinda grown to like the WAPShack, I think I'll see if I can't get that fixed this weekend. It's very doubtful I'll be able to get it to work with the standard version, so there will most likely wind up being a second feed just for LNC posts, but hopefully I'll be able to get something working. I'm not sure how many of you will actually use this, but what the hey. I like my little programming projects.

PS2 Network PS2 Bundle? According to Computer and Video Games, Sony Japan is planning a new PS2 bundle that would include a network or dial-up adapter for the same price as the current system, and may announce a similar bundle for the US at E3 next month. If true, this is great news. Heck, this is what they should have done from the beginning.
GameCube PS2 Xbox GameBoy Advance Sega and Namco to Merge? Reports have hit the web from the Japanese news outlet Nikkei, that Namco and Sega are in talks to merge. As strange as this sounds, there's no denying that this makes a heck of a lot more sense than Sega's already announced merger with Sammy, a company best known for its line of Pachinko machines (which contrary to popular belief is indeed a declining business).
PS2 Gran Turismo 4 Screenshot Okay, not really. But PS2.IGN has posted a somewhat blurry shot from the upcoming Gran Turismo game that's being made to commemorate the Volkswagen Lupo GTI Cup, which apparently uses the GT4 engine. Looks like a racing game to me.

As is always the case with inadvertent announcements like this, platforms and details have yet to be released.

Xbox New Counter-Strike Xbox Details Details on the upcoming Xbox port of Counter-Strike, which will supposedly be a big part of Microsoft's Xbox Live plans for this year, can be found at Computer and Video Games tonight. For new details, there's really not a whole lot here, save for the already-known fact that it's a port of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, but there is word that the game may allow gamers to create their own customizable gameplay types.
GameCube Get Your Ikaruga Bragging Rights Here The online rankings for Ikaruga have gone online at the game's official English-language site. PS2 No D&D Heroes for PS2, Arc Delayed According to IGN, the PS2 version of Infogrames' Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes has been dropped from retailer release lists. While sources like this are never reliable for release dates, when a game is dropped completely it usually does mean a game has been canceled (or postponed indefinitely). One thing that is official however, is that Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits has been bumped back to a June release date.

Console Game of the Evening: Knuckles: Chaotix for the 32X. "You would be hard pressed to find another sonic series game so few people have played or let alone heard of. But with let us say 'unique' gameplay (you were tethered to a partner and you would swing around depending on how much the tether snapped)" (submitted by SmackyTheFrog).
