We received an email from the U.S. Army announcing that their America's Army: Operations game has gone gold. Being a free game and all, this game will not ship to stores however it will be available on CD. The CD will feature missions available on www.americasarmy.com as well as exclusive swamp raid and mountain ambush missions. The free CD will be available early October, and you will be able to pick it up at Army Recruiting stations, ROTC Detachment and Army events (which will be listed on the America's Army site as well).

America's Army: Operations is one part of the realistic America's Army computer game that provides civilians with an inside perspective and a virtual role in today's premier land force: the U.S. Army. The game includes the first-person-perspective action game Operations, as well as Soldiers, the role-playing portion of America's Army in which players navigate life's challenges to achieve life goals. Soldiers will be released later this fall.
