It looks like good old AMD is gonna hook us up with another Athlon price drop according to the Ars monkeys. Here's the quote from Loki: "A reliable source of mine just tipped me off to a a tasty bit of informationes: AMD will be executing a price drop on their Athlon CPU line on Oct. 24th.  Sweet!   Also rumored is the adios of the Athlon 500."
