Battlefield 1942 Multi-Player Demo

Due to a mixup between various EA divisions, the multi-player demo for Battlefield 1942 has been released early. The 130mb download contains a single level (Wake Island) and a single game mode (Conquest). Not fully informed on Battlefield 1942? Check out the official site.

        what tech the INGAME browser uses has nothing to do with whether or not you can use ASE/external gamespy/etc.

        Not true. Proprietary in-game matchmaking tech can mean third party utilities don't have access to master server data or the game isn't externally launchable.
        
        Look at Warcraft 3 e.g.
