Late Night Consoling
You know, I hate football, but even I'm excited about this year's crop of games. Both the major and college league games from EA and Sega are said to be topnotch, and gamers are really going to benefit from the fact that at long last, EA has some major competition. To date, there have only been two football games I've ever played for an extended period of time: Tecmo Bowl back on the NES, and Joe Montana's Sportstalk Football for the Sega Genesis. Both were great games, and I remember them fondly. Depending on how good the ShackReviews of NFL 2k3 turn out to be, I might find myself adding a new game to that list (although probably not until later in the year, as my plate is full at the moment).

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle Revealed Well that didn't take too long...apparently a Japanese GameCube commercial features the first footage from Square's upcoming Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle. Here are some screen captures, and here's a link to the footage.
ICO on PSOne...? There's a rumor going around that the original ICO has been ported to the PSOne, and will be released in Europe later this year. The rumor stems from a confirmation of sorts from Sony Germany, but it's unknown whether or not this will ever be released outside of that country. ICO of course started as a PSOne game, and while it is startlingly beautiful on the PS2, there's no reason why it couldn't be downgraded for its original platform.
Halo 2 Trailer Coming Soon If you're itching to see that Halo 2 trailer in motion, good news: it'll be posted online in three weeks. The Project Gotham 2 trailer on the other hand has been pushed back, as one of the cars in the trailer hasn't been officially unveiled yet.

Sony Warning Sony Computer Entertainment head Ken Kutaragi apparently told the Wall Street Journal that he's worried that sales of the PS2 might slump later this year. Of course, that's due to the economic downturn, not the competition, which he has dismissed entirely. |
