AMD has slashed prices again, for their Athlon XP and Duron CPUs. The drops are between 5% and 20%, you can read more on CNET.

  Don't bother man, I got an Athlon XP 1900 system last week and it's great. I don't see me needing anything else but a new gfx card when D3 comes out.

    Agreed, I got an XP2000 yesterday and its 4x faster than my P3 700 which runs all the current games with no problem anyway.
    
    I don't see any point in spending lots of money on a bleeding edge PC anymore, better to get something cheap and upgrade more often.
