Warcraft 3 Sells Like Mad

62

According to this press release, Warcraft 3 has already sold more than a million units around the world. It has reached this mark faster than Blizzard's previous two games, Diablo 2 and Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction. 4.4 million copies of the game have shipped to retailers worldwide. Thanks HomeLAN Fed.

Following in the tradition of previous Blizzard games, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is now the seventh Blizzard product not only to sell 1 million copies, but also to reach #1 in U.S. sales. The game, which began shipping on July 3, is topping PC sales charts in North America, Europe and Asia. "We are very excited about the worldwide demand for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos," stated Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment president and co-founder. "We put a lot of effort into polishing every aspect of Warcraft III, and the game's popularity tells us that our long hours and hard work have paid off."

The Human missions are cake. It gets a lot better anyway. MP is where it's at, though.

Yeah it get much better :) The game is pretty enjoyable once you get what combination of units work good in an offensive situation. But multiplayer is where the fun is. I still haven't even played the single player portion of SOF II yet! :)
