Warcraft 3 Patch

Just before tomorrow's release of the game, Blizzard has released the first Warcraft 3 patch, which takes care of some minor issues. You can grab it from Blizzard's FTP or FileShack courtesy of Speakeasy. The patch is a small 1.7mb download.

      I do remember another retail game having a patch available before release though. Just can't remember which.

    No its been done before, I think diablo II, doesn't mean the game is shit, but 4 months of beta was enough I think to work out 99% of what they wanted.

  It was more minor balance changes, they beta was still going on when the game went gold. They figured they would just ship and patch right when it came out. Its only 1.7 mbs, very small for todays standards.

  Seriously, would you rather have had the beta gone another 3 weeks and then game went gold? They are just minor balances changes, nothing big. Blizzard will probably release a patches over the next 5 years for this game, its how they work.
