Codemasters has released some new screenshots from IGI 2: Covert Strike, showing the sniper rifle from the game in action.

The power-tool of global special forces, the .50 caliber Sniper Rifle, is one of agent David JonesÂ’ most effective weapons in IGI 2: Covert Strike, CodemastersÂ’ forthcoming PC stealth-based shooter. This handheld semi-automatic .50 caliber rifle fires a slug that weighs a mere 43 grams. Described as the ground-unit equivalent of bombing, it can take out an Armored Personnel Carrier at 1.5 kilometers and is more than capable of taking down an enemy agent at an astonishing 1.8 kilometers.
