New AMD & Intel CPUs

97
The new chips from AMD and Intel come out today. AMD announces the AthlonXP 2000+ and Intel announces their new P4 running at 2.2GHz and dropping down to the 0.13 micron level. There are articles all over the place but I kinda liked this Tech-Report one. Here's a list of a bunch of the CPU articles:

Side by side:
Tech-Report, AnandTech, Digit-Life, HardOCP, Gamers Depot, Hard Tecs 4U, HotHardwareSimHQ, Target PC, Tom's Hardware Guide, VR-Zone, Ace's Hardware, X-bit labs
AthlonXP 2000+:
Amdmb, AMDZone, and SimHQ
Pentium4 2.2GHz:
GamePC

Looks like that newfangled P4 is a real winner, and hey you dont have to deal with that Rambus crap anymore if you dont wanna. For the past year or so Intel never was part of the equation for deciding on a home machine for me, they are now though.
