Survivor Friday!

I'll keep this one shorter than last time, since there'll probably be a decent amount of gaming news today and my last update was, well, out of hand. And this article, while not about gaming, has gotten some people posting from out of the woodwork, so please none of the "get this shit off Shack" posts - just skip it if you don't like it. * * SPOILERS AHEAD * * (I made the content a smaller font to not eat the whole main page)

Well it would be pretty damned hard to beat last week's installment. All this episode could really do is show some more of the aftermath, which it did. And I'm actually starting to remember the tribe names now, so I'll use them. Samburu, btw, has Tom, Lex, and Brandon, and Boran has Frank, Ethan, and Clarence.

Anyway, starting with Boran, this "new" tribe has really come together in a big way. With Silas voted out and Tom and Lex on the other tribe, the tribe has become almost like family. There is still a little apprehension towards Clarence, but really things are going pretty swimmingly and Ethan is really taking to leading the tribe quite well. These people are getting a bit boring, though with this show it never really stays that way. Especially when it comes down to kicking out grandma or an ex-Samburu member.

Samburu though was all about schemin' and more schemin' this week. Basically, the lines between old Samburu and old Boran are drawn pretty thickly and everything was about Brandon making himself a target so that Lindsey wasn't to be voted off. This was the stuff of the show, because up until the very end the kids had it until Brandon spoke a little too loudly about him wanting to get votes. Then in a pretty surprising move, Lindsey went to switch sides while Kim (damn, she's cute) confided to the cameras that she was going to stand firm. When push came to shove though, Lindsey stayed loyal which wouldn't have mattered because the ex-Boran voted Lindsey instead of Brandon. After some crying and hugs, Lindsey was off. Then she probably cried. Good riddance.

So now the tribes are even, and the Samburu kids continue to get picked off. Highlights? Clarence's "OH DAMN" when he saw that a chicken finally laid an egg, thrwarting his plans to eat the chickens if they stayed barren. The barfalicious 'group hug.' Boran having to watch Samburu eating food (cruel!). And the best, Brandon shooting that arrow!
