Civilization 3 Any Good?

Well Civ 3 is out like everywhere and I have to ask, is it any good? I'm probably going to pick it up pretty soon. Civ and Civ 2 were some of my favorite games ever and I'm sure other peoples' as well. But it seems to have come out to little fanfare, probably because of XBox and the GameCube coming out.

Anyway, anyone pick it up and/or like it?
