Some more details on chip wars. Intel doesnt plan on releasing any more new CPUs until 2002 as they try to avoid glitches during the holidays, and AMD kicks butt in "applications like e-mail"

  sad but true, if they don't come up with faster cpus (>2.2GHz) or be cheaper then AMD at a better performance. I am looking forward to compilers that suit the design of the P4 though. But WTF are they thinking freezing progress? This way the cpu business will be like the harddisk business: Stuck at small capacities like 60GB or 80GB. People are suffering from having to store their pr0n on harddisk farms! I already had to upgrade my sound system to cancel out all the noise from my 5 pr0n HDDs. What has this world come to?
