Late Night Consoling
Is it just me, or are those fruity PS2s really ugly? (See below)
- Sony has announced that they will be releasing a limited number of Playstation 2s in five fruity colors. Let's just hope they don't decide to make more of them.
- Now here's some great news...GameSpot is reporting that Sega is working on Shining Soul, a revival of their Shining series of RPGs for the Game Boy Advance, complete with four player co-op. I'd prefer they bring back the classic Phantasy Star, but this is pretty cool nonetheless.
- Also at GameSpot is a new preview of New Legends, complete with new media and quotes from designer Justin Chin.
- A list of contributors to the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 soundtrack is up at PS2.IGN.
- I don't think it was ever doubted that the game would make the GameCube's November launch, but regardless, LucasArts has announced that Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II has gone gold.
- In other GameCube news, Planet GameCube has conducted a Q&A with Denis Dyack of Silicon Knights, who explains why their upcoming title Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem was delayed into 2002.
- Also at PGC is a report on Electronics Boutique's GameCube pre-order plans that will go into effect on Monday the 15th. Apparently you'll be required to get a third party controller as part of their bundle (what's up with that?).
