Shhh... Don't Wake Steve

1
Well, seems like it was another wild night at the Gibson place with Steve and Maarten both being out of commission. I may do some news, but I figured you guys could use a "werd" type update now.

Oh, we got an imported GameCube at work with the big three games. First (biased) impressions? Well Luigi's Mansion seemed a little weak for the main launch title. I really wish Nintendo had a platformer coming out of the gate. Now Luigi's Mansion probably has more depth than I'm giving it credit for, but it really doesn't have that level of out and out fun and innovation that the Mario games had at launch. Waverace is Waverace, and was pretty fun, especially the four player. The real standout though was Super Monkey Ball. This game is just so damn fun, and all the multiplayer modes are great. They even have some I didn't expect. One is a cross between Mario Kart and F-Zero and the other is a weird boxing type thing where you knock other off the course. Strangely enough, Sega's product seems to be the strongest of the Nintendo launch titles, which is really saying something.

Oh, and just for geeky fun, Enterprise premieres tonight, with Quantum Leap's Scott Bakula at the helm.

Movie: This aggression will not stand, man.
