Aureal's New Vortex Cards

1

Quite the day for announcements. Aureal has let us know that they've officially paired up with I/OMagic to start selling boards under their own name, as well as they're releasing 2 new-ish soundcards, both with digital coax out, 4 speaker support, and a fat game bundle which is just tasty for audio maniacs. I guess Aureal saw that they could make it and sell it themselves. In fact, Diamond's MX300 card was made by Aureal (to DMM's spec), so they should know what they're doing. I think they're using a few of these new Vortexes in the Quake 3 Bus Tour too.

3dgaming.com has a review of one of the new Aureal SQ2500 sound card. It\'s nice and concise. You should check it out. (I\'m the pimp master).
