DoD Update

9

The Day of Defeat site has been updated talking a bit about the version 2.0 release of this Half-Life mod. Not really anything on what will be included, just word that they are working on it despite continued updating of the 1.x release. With version 2 "we are taking up to the next level in quality". Thanks Stomped

Yeah..I tend to only play Caen, Snowtown and Omaha.

They need more WELL-BALANCED maps, which, you never know, Cherbourg could turn into with some effort.

        Agreed...

I agree with you that Snowtown's balanced and whatnot, but I don't really care for it too much. They need more caen-like maps, and they need to get rid of the BS, ie the one w/the lighthouse or whatever the fuck it is, as well as some other ones that I can't think of right now.

Snowtown is more balanced than it has been since the first release, imo, but it's less fun than it ever has been. Not as furious as it once was.

Ah well. I still play DoD more than any other multiplayer game.

              Go for it.

The more quality maps, the better.

Even though a lot of the maps aren't that good, I still think the overall quality of the DoD maps is much better than the quality of maps in CS. More DoD maps like Caen would be sweet.

I never cared for Snowtown too much either, but that's mostly because I prefer to be a sniper. That's not a very good map for sniping.

I'm a light infantry whore (either axis or allies), so I love tearing through Snowtown.

                :-D
