DDR Market Trouble?

14
The guys at OCWorkbench have some interesting news from abroad. A few major motherboard manufacturers seem to be slowing down or discontinuing their work on DDR motherboards. Doh! Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI being the big ones. Apparently Intel & Rambus are gaining a bit of ground... Thanks surbio

Intel is slashing pricing of Pentium 4, and this will definitely increase the sales of P4. DDR and P4 are moving in opposite directions. [...] In addition, boards coupled with DDR+P3 performance is only 10% faster than the SDRAM+P3 platform. Thus ASUS,GIGABYTE,MSI R&D will stop their development of DDR boards.

My last check of DDR memory prices had the prices WAY down...
