Destiny 2 Update 8.0.0.6 patch notes nerf Khvostov in PvP

Published , by TJ Denzer

The latest update for Destiny 2 has arrived. Update 8.0.0.6 rolled out across all platforms this week, bringing a number of changes and balancing along with it for those Guardians playing their way through The Final Shape expansion and other Destiny 2 content. Among the changes were new balancing and bug fixes for The Pale Heart, various Dungeons and Raids, general Crucible adjustments, loot tables, and more, but it may have been the Khvostov Auto Rifle that saw the biggest shift, at least in PvP game modes.

Destiny 2 Update 8.0.0.6 patch notes

Bungie rolled out Destiny 2 Update 8.0.0.6 and its accompanying patch notes this week. As mentioned above, the Khvostov may have seen the biggest change. The Exotic Auto Rifle has a ricochet perk that allows its bullets to hit up to three targets with a damage bonus when used that way. Unfortunately, in PvP and Crucible, this aspect of the weapon has been nerfed. Not only has the flat damage of the Khvostov’s ricocheting bullets been reduced, but its damage bonus has seen a notable reduction as well.
