Dying Light 2 Version 1.2 patch notes tackle 'deathloop' & safe zone bugs

Published , by TJ Denzer

Dying Light 2 is quite fun when it comes to its vast city, co-op elements, and parkour, but there have been no lack of bugs bringing the experience down a bit. Thankfully, the latest Dying Light 2 update is here with Version 1.2 and it takes aim at a lot of bugs that may have been keeping players from moving forward with the story. We’ve got the full patch notes here.

Dying Light 2 Version 1.2 patch notes

The Dying Light 2 Version 1.2 update should fix a number of progression-blocking scenarios, including a rather annoying "deathloop" glitch that has been affecting all platforms.

Techland dropped the Dying Light 2 patch notes via a blog post on its website on March 9, 2022. The Version 1.2 update is out now on PC versions of the game. Console updates for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S will be coming a few days after. The big fixes here are definitely under the Story Progression section, which includes squashing all instances of a “deathloop” glitch in which players would be stuck in a loop of dying and respawning in restricted areas where they could not escape and would die again.
