Mario Golf: Super Rush Version 4.0.0 patch notes mark last free update for the game

Published , by TJ Denzer

Mario Golf: Super Rush came out in June 2021 of this year and has brought a new generation of enjoyable Nintendo golfing to the Switch. It might not be the best the series has offered over its many iterations, but Mario Golf: Super Rush was still fun in a lot of ways. It’s coming to a close though, at least as far as freebie update content goes. Version 4.0.0 brings new characters, courses, and modes, but also marks the last update for Mario Golf Super Rush. You can find the full patch notes here.

Mario Golf: Super Rush Version 4.0.0 patch notes

Nintendo launched Mario Golf: Super Rush Version 4.0.0 and accompanying patch notes for it late on November 23. The big new additions are playable characters Wiggler and Shy Guy, new courses with Shelltop Sanctuary and All-Star Summit, and new modes in Target Golf and One-On, One-Putt. The other news is that this will be the last free update to the game. That doesn’t cut out paid DLC, but it remains to be seen if Nintendo has any such plans to create an expansion for the game. Nonetheless, the Version 4.0.0 patch notes are below:

Added Playable Character, “Wiggler”

Added Playable Character “Shy Guy”

Added Golf Course, “Shelltop Sanctuary”

Added Golf Course, “All-Star Summit”

Added New Mode, “Target Golf”

Added New Mode, “One-On, One-Putt”

Game Balance Adjustments

General

Is this truly the last new content for Mario Golf: Super Rush? Yes, at least as far as free content goes, but it also continues to build upon the content of the game at no cost and that should be a delight to anyone that has been enjoying Super Rush. Stay tuned for any further updates, including the possibility of paid DLC.
