Nintendo offered up a plethora of Zelda-related news during its Nintendo Direct at E3 2021. While most people will still be giddy over the new look we got of Breath of the Wild 2, there was another Zelda title that got a hard release date: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. The game is officially coming out this July. Take a look at the trailer below!
Announced during the Nintendo Direct livestream at E3 2021, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD now has an official release date of July 16 for the Nintendo Switch.
The trailer showed off a player using the Switch’s Joy-Con motion controls to move Link around, slice through wooden practice dummies, deflect rocks using the shield, and use the bow and arrow. Alternatively, players are able to use standard gamepad movement by playing in handheld mode. Whether players can use a pad-only method when the Switch is docked remains to be seen.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is set to release on July 16, 2021. Head over to the Nintendo Skyward Sword HD page for more information, including a link to pre-order the game.
