Astria Ascending was announced for the Switch at Nintendo Direct E3 2021. The upcoming JRPG from Artisan Studio is set for release on September 30, 2021 for PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox Game Pass on Xbox One/Series consoles, and Nintendo Switch. Take a look at the release date reveal trailer below.

The Nintendo Direct for E3 2021 had some truly rapid-fire reveals during the 40 minute presentation. There were quite a number of new games announced as coming to the Nintendo Switch and Astria Ascending from the Dear Villagers franchise was among those shown during the highly-anticipated event.

Coming from Artisan Studio, Astria Ascending is a hand-drawn JRPG with an epic story, turn-based combat, and deep customization. The staff at Artisan Studio has quite the JRPG resume to fall back on for experience, take a look at the description from the game's Steam page:

From a team featuring developers from Final Fantasy, Nier Automata and Bravely Default, Astria Ascending includes full voice acting in Japanese and English, a traditionally animated, fully hand-drawn 2D world and a dynamic weather system.

Astria Ascending is scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5, Xbox Game Pass on Xbox One/Series consoles, and PC on September 30, 2021.
