The remaster for Life is Strange was shown during Square Enix Presents Summer Showcase at E3 2021. We not only got a look at the first gameplay comparisons between the original game and the new version, but Square Enix also gave the game a release date with pre-orders starting now. Life is Strange Remastered is coming to PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Series consoles, and Google Stadia on September 30, 2021.
The Life is Strange Remastered Collection was announced just this last March during a Square Enix presentation with a release date set for this fall. Today during the Square Enix Presents Summer Showcase at E3 2021, the team at Dontnod has kept that promise by announcing a September 30 release date with an official trailer. The official trailer gives us a view of the previous game as it wipes over to the newly remastered Life is Strange. The approximately 2-minute long trailer shows many of the characters in both original and fresh graphic styles, with the remaster looking extremely faithful to the 2015 version. The publisher's word on the Life is Strange Collection gives the following description.
Experience the BAFTA award-winning story of Life is Strange now beautifully remastered with enhanced visuals and vastly improved animation using mocap technology.
Play as Max Caulfield, a photography senior who discovers she can rewind time while saving her best friend Chloe Price from a violent altercation.
The pair soon find themselves investigating the mysterious disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber, uncovering a dark side to life in Arcadia Bay. Meanwhile, Max must quickly learn that changing the past can sometimes lead to a devastating future.
Fans of Dontnod and the Life is Strange story won't have long to wait with Life is Strange Remastered releasing on September 30 for Google Stadia, PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Series consoles, and Steam.
