Many a Diablo fan have been watching Diablo 2: Resurrected with giddy anticipation since the game was announced. We’ve seen a lot of previews and early hands-ons that suggest the game is shaping up to be quite the incredible return of the classic and beloved action RPG. One of the main things we’ve been waiting to learn is when it’s coming out. We finally have the answer. Diablo 2: Resurrected’s release date was announced during E3 2021.
The Diablo 2: Resurrected release date was officially revealed in a new gameplay trailer during the Xbox Bethesda E3 2021 showcase on June 13, 2021. Not only did we get a new look at some refreshed cinematics in the game, but we also got a fresh look at gameplay and a launch date as well. The game is officially coming on September 23, 2021. Though it was shown on the Xbox Bethesda E3 2021 showcase, that release date applies to all platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Battle.net. It was good to see even more of Diablo 2: Resurrected during E3 2021, and especially an official launch date on the game. We’ve gotten chances to play around with the game in the past during technical alphas and were impressed with it even then. Moreover, there are going to be more chances to play the game leading up to the game’s release in September as Blizzard aims to test out its multiplayer and other features.
