The Ubisoft Forward presentation at E3 2021 was primarily focused on video games from the publisher, but also featured news on some of its projects tangential to gaming. During the show, we got a new trailer for the live-action Werewolves Within movie.
The Werewolves Within film is based on the VR video game of the same title and follows the story of a group of people trapped indoors together amidst a snowstorm. Things start to get a bit crazy when werewolves begin to terrorize the group. In the trailer, we get a blend of the comedy and horror elements that the film looks to brilliantly weave together.
Werewolves Within is just one of several Ubisoft properties getting the movie or television treatment. At Netflix, we know that Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, and Beyond Good and Evil are all getting series adaptations. The Werewolves Within is a bit of a more obscure entry, as the franchise has been pretty quiet since its last entry released five years ago.
The Werewolves Within movie stars Sam Richardson and Milana Vayntrub (of AT&T commercial fame). The movie is set to release later this month on June 25. If you’re interested in the gaming news that came out of the Ubisoft Forward at E3 2021, we’ve got that for you too.
