It’s going to be a long time before we ever see Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, but the beauty of the World of Darkness universe is that it’s quite vast and full of opportunities for other games. Such is the case with the upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt, which will be a battle royale pitting vampires of various abilities against each other. Bloodhunt isn’t just coming this year. It’s also getting a closed alpha test in early July.
We got a fresh look at Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt and its closed alpha announcement during the Summer Game Fest 2021 showcase on June 10, 2021. Set in the iconic Vampire: The Masquerade corner of the World of Darkness universe, Bloodhunt continues the themes of inspiring material as different clans and breeds of vampires and other monsters wage an invisible war among the normal citizenry of urban society. This is a free-to-play battle royale in which players will fight for survival whether alone or with others. Bloodhunt will feature gunplay with various weapons, of course, but there will also be plenty of the supernatural vampire and creature abilities we associate with this iconic universe.
As aforementioned, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt will be free-to-play when it launches later in 2021, but it will also having some testing periods sooner. One of them is right around the corner in fact. On July 2, 2021, a closed alpha for Bloodhunt will take place, allowing selected players to jump in and see what the game has to offer. In order to qualify to be selected for the Bloodhunt closed alpha, you need to head over to its official website and fill out the sign-up form to be eligible.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt is expected to launch fully in 2021, so expect that further testing will be on the way in the form of possible closed and open betas. We’ll have an official release date right here for you on Shacknews as information becomes available.
