DSL Price Hikes

Well it looks like the DSL honeymoon is getting close to ending. All hell has been breaking loose lately in the DSL market and it doesnt seem very far fetched that gamers are going to start paying higher prices for DSL in the future. This latest bit on ZDNet

In the last six months, many competitive residential DSL providers have either gone bankrupt, sold out or ended the DSL portion of their businesses, leaving consumers in many U.S. regions a single choice for DSL service: the local phone company. The competitive fallout has opened the door for price hikes.

My own DSL contractor Northpoint filed for bankrupty protection last month, and Covad is hurting too. Go sign those low price DSL contracts while you can. Doh.
