When Chorus was first announced and revealed, many of us were a bit taken aback by the name. Since that initial shock, though, the upcoming science fiction adventure has come to look quite appealing – especially for those who are fans of what ray-tracing has allowed in more recent releases. During today’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event, we got yet another look at the upcoming sci-fi action game, which showcased a lot of the ray-tracing elements in a new gameplay trailer.
The new trailer doesn’t really offer us much insight into exactly what the game is about, but it does at least give us more of a sneak peek at the kind of fast-paced gameplay players can expect to see when Chorus does finally launch in 2021.
From what we do know so far, players will take on the role of Nara, a deadly warrior that is on a quest to destroy the dark cult that created her. Essentially, players will take on various missions leading Nara and her sentient ship, Forsaken, on a quest for redemption. It’s definitely a novel idea that sounds intriguing given the environments and world that we’ve seen so far from the game.
Of course, we’re still chomping at the bit to know more about the upcoming action sci-fi adventure and we’ll continue to keep our eyes open for anymore news about its development. You can check out more from the Gamescom Opening Night Live event by heading over to our main topic here on Shacknews. Some notable announcements include a new look at gameplay from Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, as well as a look at the new subclasses and abilities coming to Destiny 2 Beyond Light.
Gamescom isn’t over just yet, though, and we’ll be sure to let you know about any additional reveals and announcements that arrive over the coming days.
