Very few things get me excited for a video game as much as a killer voice cast. Well, as revealed at Gamescom Opening Night Live, 12 Minutes will feature Willem Dafoe, James McAvoy and Daisy Ridley. That's a high-caliber cast, and it's only made me more excited for a game I was already looking forward to.
This all-star voice cast for 12 Minutes needs no introduction, but I’ll it one anyway just for those few who might not recognize one of the names. Willem Dafoe has had a hell of a career that included movies like The Boondock Saints and Spider-Man, but you could pick out a dozen other credits that are impressive. James McAvoy can put several X-Men movies on his resume, but my personal favorite performances were from Split and Glass. Daisy Ridley played Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and, quite frankly, she killed it.
For those that may not have heard of 12 Minutes, or simply forgot what the concept behind it was, the official site describes it in the following manner:
Players will be stuck in a 12-minute time loop, destined to relive the same scene repeatedly unless they can break the loop. Unfortunately, we don’t know when it’s coming just yet, although the official site does say “very likely” it’ll release in 2020. Given this year and the pandemic, though, I wouldn’t hold your breath. You can, however, see what games are coming out using our video game release dates 2020 guide.
