Intel is releasing two new mobile chips today, a 500mhz Pentium3 and a 500mhz Celeron, which both are ultra-low power using and are aimed at taking away the spotlight from Transmeta's Crusoe. The scary thing for Transmeta is that Intel's solution has about the same battery life, and it didn't take them very long to change their chips - without any major architecture changes.
