Halo Infinite is the latest entry in the long-running shooter series, and for some time it was assumed it would only be coming to Xbox Series X.
Now during the Xbox Games Showcase on Thursday, July 23, it was confirmed that Halo Infinite would also be available as an Xbox One title for anyone who isn't ready to make the jump to next-gen just yet. That means you can start playing it on Xbox One and then make the jump to Xbox Series X when you're comfortable.
Otherwise, this new change in what we previously expected basically means the game will end up reaching more players than it would have originally, since even those on the last generation of console gaming will still be able to participate.
We saw our first look at the Xbox Games Showcase on Thursday, and it looks to be a callback to the original game in terms of visuals and what you're able to do in the campaign. You'll also be able to use a grappling hook to get where you're going.
It should be interesting to see how the new game shakes out, but as additional information comes out about the new entry in the series, we'll be here to let you know all about it. In the meantime, perhaps obsessing over how cool and classic the cover art is.
