Arkane Studios continues to put out some of the most unique projects in gaming. Last year at E3 they revealed their next title, Deathloop. Following the story of two opposing assassins stuck in a time loop, Deathloop promises players a reality-bending experience full of action. During Sony’s “The Future of Gaming” PS5 reveal event, we got our first look at Gameplay in Deathloop.
Published by Bethesda, Deathloop follows the story of two assassins caught in a mysterious time loop. With both of these assassins at each other’s throats, they’ll be doomed to kill each other over and over until the loop is broken. In the trailer, we see some gravity-defying, reality-twisting combat. In addition to the deadly weapons, we also see some magical powers at use.
Though we’ve gotten a lot more information from the trailer, much is still crowded in mystery. We still don’t know what the backstory is with these characters, why they’re after each other, or what force is behind the time loop. We still don’t know when Deathloop will launch, but once it does, it will enjoy a period of exclusivity on the PlayStation 5.
