Tomorrow’s Answer has been a Trials of Osiris weapon for a while now, but the latest Season of Destiny 2 has introduced a new god roll. Players that work their way through a few matches of Trials can walk away with one of these beauties, but knowing whether or not you have a Tomorrow’s Answer god roll is going to be important. The Rocket Launcher has a few great perks and the right combo could make you a boss-DPSing machine.
Tomorrow’s Answer has received a new suite of perks that make for a powerful PvE god roll. This roll uses a combo that has seen a lot of success on other boss DPS weapons.
Tomorrow's Answer god roll - PvE | |
---|---|
Barrel | Quick Launch (Velocity +10, Handling +15) |
Magazine | Impact Casing (Stability +10, Impact damage +10 percent) |
Perk 1 | Envious Assassin (Defeating targets with other weapons before drawing this one transfers ammo to the magazine from reserves. This effect can overflow the magazine based on the number of targets defeated) |
Perk 2 | Bait and Switch (Deal damage with all equipped weapons within a short time to give this weapon a damage boost) |
Origin Trait | Wild Card (Final blows with this weapon have a chance to create experimental submunitions at the target’s location) |
Masterwork | Reload Speed +10 |
Mod | Tactical (Reload Speed +6, Handling +6) |
Envious Assassin and Bait and Switch remain an excellent option when trying to get damage out in short damage phases. Activating the first perk will let you have one additional rocket in the chamber, which allows you to have more of your rockets affected by Bait and Switch, which bumps up damage.
This god roll also leans into the reload stat to help you get the rockets back into the tube. The faster you can reload, the more rockets receive the Bait and Switch buff before you need to activate it again. In the event you can’t get Bait and Switch, keep an eye out for Explosive Light and Frenzy, as they both offer a bump in damage.
When it comes to PvP, a god roll Tomorrow’s Answer leans into a faster rocket-to-recipient time frame while ensuring the blast radius can take out nearby foes.
Tomorrow's Answer god roll - PvP | |
---|---|
Barrel | Quick Launch (Velocity +10, Handling +15) |
Magazine | High-Velocity Rounds (Velocity +10, Reload Speed +10) |
Perk 1 | Impulse Amplifier (Massively increases projectile velocity, increases reload speed) |
Perk 2 | Chain Reaction (Each final blow with this weapon creates an elemental damage explosion) |
Origin Trait | Wild Card (Final blows with this weapon have a chance to create experimental submunitions at the target’s location) |
Masterwork | Velocity +10 |
Mod | Aerodynamics (Blast Radius +6, Velocity +6) |
As you can see, all of Tomorrow’s Answer’s perks look to boost the velocity stat as much as humanly possible. The goal is to give your opponent zero chance of avoiding the rocket. All you need to do is make sure you aim well and the rocket will almost-instantly reach its target.
When it does land, and if it does secure the kill, Chain Reaction will put in some work to defeat any nearby foes as well. Couple this with Wild Card and you have a Rocket Launcher that can offer a surprisingly large explosive radius that seems to keep on going.
Tomorrow’s Answer is an excellent Rocket Launcher worth pursuing for those who play Trials of Osiris. There are a couple of better alternatives out there for PvE, like Cold Comfort with its huge magazine potential, but these Tomorrow’s Answer god rolls can get a lot of work done.
