If you want to spice up the Quake3 CTF mode: The Alliance team has just released Alliance CTF 2.0, a massive 123mb mod for Quake3. Ok there is an upgrade too, but even that weighs in at 73mb. XGR has a mirror of the files, along with an interview with Mr. White, one of the guys on the team. What the heck do you get for 123mb? According to their features page, three game types, four new weapons, 26 custom maps, seven different skin sets, new sounds, new runes and other models and a new HUD and menu. Pretty feature packed all in all. Alliance 2.0 is compatible with the Quake3 1.27g source code.
