Remedy's surreal new adventure Remedy just got a bit of free new content, and it couldn't be more perfect for the game.
Control just got an update across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC that adds a Photo Mode to the game. Photo Mode, like in other games, will let you take and edit in-game photos as much as you want.
The option is available through in-game menus and adds a Camera and Filters tab for easy access. You can adjust the aperture of photos, broaden and tighten the field of view, change focus distance, and choose between ten different filters to truly make each photo yours. There's even the option to completely remove characters from shots, so you can get a truly breathtaking view of some of the crazy areas all contained within the Oldest House and its bizarre phenomena.
Control is a game that will certainly lend itself well to a Photo Mode. Kevin Tucker reviewed the game, awarding it an 8 out of 10. Here's what he thought about it.
"Control is an experience not to be missed. Remedy Entertainment has gone above and beyond to realize the game's paranormal-themed world, and the result is something so entrancing and bizarre that there's really little else to compare it to. It's proof positive that the whole can indeed be greater than the sum of its parts, but in drawing on the best that gaming had to offer, several technical issues managed to sneak in from beyond the void. Whether these glitches or bugs seem silly or nefarious will be up to individual players, but even the biggest bouts of slowdown don't take away from the game's stellar action and environments. It's fast-paced, fun, and pretty damn freaky — all the right elements of a perfect sci-fi thriller."
Control is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
