The Bradwell Conspiracy is an intriguing upcoming title from A Brave Plan, published by Bossa Studios. As a narrative-driven first-person adventure, it employs a wide variety of puzzles and secrets for players to unravel as they make their way through the world.
Shacknews had the opportunity to sit down with The Bradwell Conspiracy game director Georg Backer about the upcoming title to get a feel for what kind of immersive experience it will ultimately be.
The game follows two strangers (you, the player character, and protagonist Amber) who have to work together to escape a dangerous situation. You play one of the strangers, who wakes up in the middle of the crumbling Stonehenge museum. It's falling apart, and the only thing you know is that you have to get out of the museum, somehow. Of course, as you might expect, it's not going to be as easy as you might hope.
"One of the key elements for us was to create something about the relationship between two people and how you have to have to trust a person that you don't know, and how that relationship develops," explained Backer. If this sounds like it's definitely your cup of tea, you can check out a whopping 40 minutes of gameplay from The Bradwell Conspiracy below.
One interesting aspect of the game is the fact that your protagonist is meant to really be "you," and as such there are no pronouns to represent the character or any indicators to make it otherwise feel like it isn't you. The player will interact with Amber by way of photos, as thematically their vocal cords have been damaged – hence the elements of trust that players must learn to explore. Hopefully Amber doesn't end up being a terrible person, right?
