The original Steelseries Sensei was a hit with professional gamers and casual users dating back to its release in 2011. It made use of a simple design that could work for both right-handed and left-handed players of various grip types. Nearly a decade later, the company is preparing to release an updated version, dubbed the Sensei Ten, that features an all-new sensor that offers unrivaled speed and accuracy.
The TrueMove Pro sensor inside the Sensei Ten is the real star of the show. A collaborative effort between Steelseries and PixArt, the True Move Pro will offer fans of the Sensei mouse pinpoint accuracy. Steelseries is confident that the sensor is a gamechanger: “The TrueMove Pro easily outperforms the competition on any surface with True 1-to-1 tracking, 18,000 CPI and a 450 inches-per-second (IPS) tracking speed. The new sensor’s advanced tracking also stabilizes tilted mouse maneuvers, eliminating false tracking during angled drops, tilt slams, and quick flicks. The TrueMove Pro combines PixArt’s years of experience designing sensors and SteelSeries’ commitment to providing the best tracking possible, making it the best performing sensor on any surface.“
The Steelseries press release also touts the benefits of the Sensei Ten outer shell shape, as well as the additional features new to the Sensei family: “The Sensei Ten’s ergonomic ambidextrous design provides a comfortable, natural feel for both right and left-handed users with any grip style. Its eight-button universal shape allows gamers to quickly change grip styles as needed. The Sensei Ten also features five on-board memory, so gamers can save their settings across devices; 60 million click mechanical switches, for a consistent crisp click for the life of the mouse; two-zone RGB lighting and a high-grade polymer design for years of durability.”
Users looking to get their paws on the Sensei Ten can expect to spend $69.99 for the new mouse. It is available now directly from Steelseries and retail outlets worldwide.
